UPDATED: BANKHEAD CLOSURE CONTINUES THROUGH JULY 30, 2020

Published by Roberta Emerson

GALA DATE REVISED MAY 25, 2020

With the extension of the Shelter-in-Place order through May and anticipated restrictions for gatherings beyond that, the Bankhead Theater and Bothwell Arts Center will remain closed at least through the end of July and very likely beyond that.  The staff and board of Livermore Valley Performing Arts Center are evaluating several scenarios and what steps will be required to reopen our venues. We are eager to once again share the wonder of the arts with all of you, but the safety of our artists, patrons, staff and volunteers remains our top priority.

We are working with artists and arts groups to reschedule affected shows. Many of them are now choosing to move into 2021. Due to limited exhibition contracts, we have had to cancel or move out some of our planned films including Classic Film Musicals, National Theatre Live, Great Art on Screen and the Summer Family Films. We have also suspended registration for our Summer Camps. While we are working to move some online, others will not be offered. Below is the current list of affected shows. New changes are indicated with ***  Please note that some shows previously rescheduled to dates in June and July are now cancelled.

IF YOU HAD TICKETS…

If you hold tickets for a rescheduled event, your seats will automatically be transferred and new tickets emailed to you. If you can no longer attend, you can 1) exchange the tickets for a different show, 2) donate the tickets back to Livermore Valley Performing Arts Center, or 3) receive a gift card or refund. Donated resident company tickets will support funding for their future performances. Email boxoffice@lvpac.org or leave a message at 925-373-6800 with questions. We’ll be sure to get back to you within 3 business days.  We appreciate your patience as we’re working with a reduced staff!

CAN YOU MAKE A DIFFERENCE?

We are dedicated to keeping the arts alive in our community. Coming back from this crisis will be a challenge for the entire arts world, including us. If you cannot attend, please consider donating your tickets. If you can make an additional donation of any size, it will make a difference, especially now as a generous donor is matching all contributions in May 2020 up to $50,000. Livermore Valley Performing Arts Center is community-centered and community-funded. Your support helps us share the joy of the arts with everyone.  DONATE NOW
