A Novel Twist on that ‘Ole Summer Reading,’ This Summer at the Livermore Library Gallery 

Livermore, CA – (May 17, 2024) – A collaborative new exhibit, Livermore Valley Arts is presenting a unique exhibition called “A Novel Twist: The Art of Books” at the Livermore Library Gallery through June 30, 2024. These works of art will all have a twist around the theme of books: collage, altered books, dimensional pieces that hang on the wall and more, this fun exhibit puts a spin on that ‘required summer reading’ everyone remembers from their youth. Subject matter examples include the use of book pages or covers in collage, artwork of people reading, artwork of book covers, illustrations for books, composites of book covers, artwork around the written word, and more. Most of the artworks are for sale and can be purchased by contacting [email protected]. The public is invited to experience this twist on books and art in person at the Livermore Library Gallery during normal Civic Center Library hours, Mondays through Thursdays, 10 am9 pm, Fridays, 10 am6 pm, Saturdays, 10 am5 pm, and Sundays, 12 pm6 pm. 

A Novel Twist: The Art of Books” is presented by Livermore Valley Arts, whose primary exhibit space is the UNCLE Credit Union Art Gallery in the lobby of the beautiful Bankhead Theater at 2400 First Street, Livermore. A Novel Twist is free and open to enjoy during normal Civic Center Library hours this May and June. The public is invited to escape the heat and come witness this playful intersection of literature and visual art in this exciting Library exhibition.
