Fun Family Fare This Spring at The Bankhead
Livermore, CA – (February 28, 2025) – Livermore Valley Arts has an exciting pair of performances this spring that will offer Tri-Valley families plenty of fun from the comfort of The Bankhead. iLuminate, where dance, light, and technology collide, will be bringing their tour to the Tri-Valley on Friday, March 28. Las Vegas’ own DLUX Puppet will be bringing their new production of Neverland, to enchant the young and young at heart with that classic adventure of Wendy, Michael, John, Tinkerbell, Peter Pan, and even Captain Hook, on Sunday, April 6, allowing for not one, but two opportunities this spring for families to be delighted through entertainment and technology. The Bankhead is excited to bring these talented groups to the Tri-Valley; these fantastic performances will take place at the beautiful Bankhead Theater in Downtown Livermore.
“Move over Blue Man Group & Stomp, iLuminate is in the House!” (Times Square Chronicles) iLuminate has been a household name since it was named “The BEST NEW ACT in America” during their run on America’s Got Talent in 2011. ‘An astounding, magical feast,’ iLuminate is a
company based on the fusion of technology and dance. This distinct intermix will reawaken your senses and imagination thanks to a diverse team of experts who create a visual experience unlike anything you’ve ever seen. On March 28, Tri-Valley audiences can expect to see dancers in electrified glow-in-the-dark suits performing dynamic routines and illusions on a darkened stage, a show unique to the iLuminate brand and incomparable to any other dance performance. iLuminate is the brainchild of Miral Kotb, a woman whose true passions in life are dance and software engineering. She both mans the keyboard and dances on stage in the iLuminate archive of video performances. In 2009, Miral combined her two passions to create the patented iLuminate technology, which enables performers, choreographers, engineers, technicians, stylists, and artistic directors to produce explosive performances with customized wireless
lighting programs. The results are extraordinary lighting effects choreographed with phenomenal dance moves that take viewers on an exhilarating ride. iLuminate technology has appeared in shows around the world — from Cairo to Malaysia and the United States to Hong Kong, and been on TV shows like Dancing with the Stars, The X-Factor, Good Morning America, and The Wendy Williams Show, as well as The American Music Awards, MTV’s Video Music Awards, BET Awards, The Nickelodeon Awards, Billboard, and Latin Billboard Awards. Do not miss this one-of-a-kind performance this spring. For an exciting behind-the-scenes look at iLuminate in Livermore, audiences can listen/watch LVA’s own Beyond the Stage Podcast for an in depth conversation with one of iLuminate’s Dance Captains, Alicia Slouffman, for more details on how the technology works and has been adapted for this thrilling marriage of the arts and technology.
