Sharing Knowledge, Gaining Culture
“Arts and creativity are larger than performance or product. They develop the essential soft skills we need to navigate the complex challenges of today and build tomorrow’s solutions using the 5 C’s: critical thinking, creativity, communication, collaboration, and character. These are the traits we need in the next generation of leaders. Leaders who are curious, imaginative, and able to build bridges rather than walls. Investing in arts education is committing to a future shaped by understanding, problem-solving, and civic compassion.” Create CA
Everyone in the Tri-Valley should have the opportunity to experience the arts at whatever age and whatever level they are. Livermore Valley Arts offers educational activities and classes, performances at schools and at the Bankhead Theater, and free events for the whole family. For students, there are also workshops and master classes with visiting artists. Portions of these activities are underwritten through generous contributions and matching gifts to our education fund.
EDUCATIONAL OUTREACH ACTIVITIES
Livermore Valley Arts funds a number of cultural arts programs, free family events, workshops and master classes and in-school performances throughout the year. For example, the East Bay Jazz High School All-Stars Program is fully funded by Livermore Valley Arts. The East Bay Jazz High School All-Stars is an after-school program for high-caliber musical performance and education for high school jazz musicians. Portions of these activities are underwritten through generous contributions and matching gifts to our education fund.
Help us share the performing arts with children. To learn more about these programs that support school and family performances and student tickets or to donate by phone or mail, please contact our Education staff at 925-583-2312 or email us for assistance at [email protected]
