Knock Knock…Who’s There…It’s A New Exhibit at Livermore Valley Arts!
Livermore, CA – (October 14, 2025) – An entertaining new exhibit, “Knock, Knock: The Art of Wit and Whimsy,” will be on display this winter at the UNCLE Credit Union Art Gallery at the Bankhead Theater from October 23, 2025, to January 4, 2026. This amusing and captivating art exhibition invites viewers to step into a world where humor and imagination take center stage. Lighthearted and joyful,
and perfect for families together during the holiday seasons, this new exhibit celebrates the playful side of creativity, showcasing artwork that elicits laughter, sparks delight, and nudges the imagination in unexpected directions. From visual puns and satirical commentary to reimagined board games and comic-inspired illustrations, each piece reveals how art can be both clever and carefree. Free and open to the public, this delightful exhibit will have something for every age to enjoy and experience in person at the UNCLE Credit Union Art Gallery at the Bankhead Theater in Downtown Livermore, Thursdays and Fridays, 12 pm—5 pm, and Saturdays, 9 am—1 pm.* The Reception for “Knock, Knock” at the UNCLE Credit Union Art Gallery is on Saturday, October 25, from 1 pm—3 pm.
Featuring a vibrant mix of media—paintings, illustrations, sculptures, photography, and mixed-media works—the exhibit highlights artists who embrace levity without sacrificing meaning. Whether through whimsical characters, surreal juxtapositions, or nostalgic nods to childhood play, “Knock, Knock” delivers an experience full of visual jokes, sly wit, and quirky charm. It is a reminder that art does not always have to be serious to be significant; sometimes, a good laugh is exactly what we need. In a world often weighed down by gravity, “Knock, Knock: The Art of Wit and Whimsy” opens the door to joy, curiosity, and the sheer delight of seeing the world through a more playful lens.
Perfect for the time of year when the family is all together, “Knock, Knock” will delight with intrigue
and humor, an exhibit full of levity and joyfulness. Viewers will not want to miss this delightful exhibit this winter. The UNCLE Credit Union Art Gallery is in the lobby of the beautiful Bankhead Theater at 2400 First Street, Livermore. “Knock, Knock: The Art of Wit and Whimsy” is free and open to enjoy by ticketed patrons during performances and by the general public, Thursdays and Fridays, 12 pm—5 pm, and Saturdays, 9 am—1 pm, October 23, 2025, to January 4, 2026*, at the UNCLE Credit Union Art Gallery. Also free and open to the public, the Opening Reception is Saturday, October 25, from 1 pm—3 pm, and will feature well-known artist Big Al Lopez doing caricatures, with wine and light refreshments for those in attendance. There will be an additional free special Lobby event on Saturday, November 22, from 10:30 am—1 pm.
