About Bankhead Theater

Since it opened in September 2007, the 507-seat Bankhead Theater has welcomed hundreds of artists to its stage and on the plaza outside, representing a very diverse range of musical genres, dance, theater, comedy, and other performing arts. The intimate design provides excellent sightlines and state-of-the-art acoustics to every seat. From renowned world-class musicians to rising stars on their way up, from decades-old resident companies to young student performers, events at the Bankhead continue to bring joy and excitement to audiences of all ages.

Looking to rent?

Bankhead Theater’s extensive seating arrangement can accommodate nearly every patron’s taste. Bankhead provides a multitude of excellent viewing options. Please review the seating image and be sure to contact us if you have any questions. See below for technical specs.

Military and students are unable to purchase tickets online. Please call the Box Office for your discounted pricing. To ensure your needs are thoroughly met, call our Ticket Office in advance for seating arrangements.


From Interstate 580 take the North Livermore Avenue exit, and continue 1.2 miles to Downtown Livermore. Turn left onto Railroad Avenue. The Livermore Valley Center parking is located one block ahead on your left. Parking is free! There are also other small lots, and street parking available surrounding the theater downtown, and is also free. The Bankhead Theater is located on the block to your right, between First Street, Railroad Avenue and North Livermore Avenue, 2400 First Street, Downtown Livermore. There is a drop-off/pick-up area located on Railroad Avenue, on the right side of the street, before you reach the stoplight to enter the parking garage.
