A Tri-Valley Kind of ‘Beatlemania’ Coming to The Bankhead in the New Year

Livermore, CA – (December 8, 2023) – Hitting the ground hot in the New Year, Livermore Valley Arts is thrilled to kick off the 2024 portion of its 2023-2024 season with not one, but two shows in January that will satisfy the Fab Four lover in all of us. From the best Beatles tribute band and most immersive theatrical Beatles tribute show at BritBeat on Saturday, January 6, to an evening behind-the-music with the Bankhead Presents Rae Dorough Speaker Series presentation of Scott Freiman, Deconstructing The Beatles’ White Album on Thursday, January 25, The Bankhead will be bringing some true nostalgia joy with these two performances centering on the most influential band of all time, to delight and entertain the Tri-Valley this winter. These two unforgettable events will take place at the beautiful Bankhead Theater in Downtown Livermore.

For the first LVA performance in the New Year, audiences are invited to take a trip back in time with a fantastic journey through the days of Beatlemania with BritBeat’s multimedia concert journey through Beatles music history on January 6. With all of the energy and excitement of a live Beatles performance, patrons will see why this nationally acclaimed Beatles show is captivating audiences and generating rave reviews as the ultimate tribute band from critics and Beatles fans worldwide. Step into a time machine and experience a remarkable and propelling recreation of the Fab Four in concert during the fabulous 1960s. With magnificent attention to detail, six dazzling costume changes, exquisite musicianship, powerful vocals, and a spectacular, stunning, and immersive multimedia backdrop, you will experience an engaging and electrifying trip through the iconic music catalog of the band of the century, The Beatles, right here in Livermore.

A few weeks later, The Bankhead is excited to continue presenting the Rae Dorough Speaker

Series next evening at Scott Freiman, Deconstructing The Beatles, on January 25. In Deconstructing The Beatles’ White Album, composer/producer Scott Freiman takes Beatles fans, young and old, into the studio with The Beatles as they create their bestselling album, The Beatles (commonly referred to as the White Album). Released in 1968, the White Album’s thirty songs span almost every style of music—from hard rock to country, chamber music, and avant-garde. Its recording took place during a remarkable year in Beatles history that included the death of Brian Epstein, the creation of Apple Corps, and a trip to India to study meditation. In this multimedia presentation, Freiman transports his audience into Abbey Road Studio for a look at the revolutionary techniques used during the production of “Revolution,” “While My Guitar Gently Weeps,” “Blackbird,” and the other iconic songs from the White Album. It will be an educational journey into the creative process of The Beatles’ performances and recording sessions, allowing the audience to see and hear the evolution of these groundbreaking songs and their lasting influence on popular music. Freiman combines his love of The Beatles with his experience as a composer, producer, and engineer to deliver unique educational lectures about their creative process. He moves past the personalities of the four Beatles to uncover the reasons why their music continues to be loved by millions. Scott’s multimedia presentations transport his audiences into Abbey Road Studio with anecdotes about The Beatles’ recording sessions, allowing fans to experience the evolution of The Beatles’ groundbreaking albums and songs. Scott’s lectures have entertained audiences of musicians and non-musicians alike, from pre-teenagers to octogenarians. Once you have attended one of Freiman’s presentations, you’ll never listen to The Beatles or any other music the same way again!

Scott Freiman may be the only person to have sold out Carnegie Hall and been a Finalist for Ernst and Young’s Entrepreneur of the Year. He is also an internationally recognized expert and lecturer on the music of The Beatles. Mr. Freiman has presented his lectures to sold-out audiences at theaters nationwide and has spoken about The Beatles at colleges, universities, and corporations. In the Fall of 2012, Mr. Freiman taught a semester course on “The Beatles In The Studio” at Yale University. Mr. Freiman’s insights into their music can be found in the book All the Songs: The Story Behind Every Beatles Release published in October 2013 by Black Dog and Leventhal. Mr. Freiman also writes about music and “deconstructs” songs and bands for Culture Sonar (culturesonar.com) and co-hosts the monthly Fab Four Master Class with fellow

Beatleologist Kenneth Womack. Mr. Freiman holds a B.S. in Computer Science and Music from Yale University and a Masters of Music Composition from New York University. Mr. Freiman is married to Allison Fine, an award-winning writer and speaker, and he has three children: Maxwell, Zachary, and Jackson. A must-see for any music lover, Freiman’s deep knowledge and infectious enthusiasm bring The Beatles’ music to life like never before!
